All the Salves & Oils offered here are lovingly,
handmade, in small batches, to insure quality. I use only high quality natural ingredients to make my salves and oils, many of which are now also organic. The Herb Infused Oils used to make my salves are also make here at Fias Co Farm. They are hand prepared
in small batches
to insure quality.
Notation on ingredients/herbs used in my formulas:
(O) = Certified Organic: Has been grown, handled, and processed according to strict production standards that reduce and eliminate the use of toxic, persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and other harmful substances.
(W) = Wildcrafted: "Wildcrafted" plants are gathered from their natural, wild habitat, often from pristine areas. When wildcrafting is done sustainably with proper respect, generally only the branches or flowers from plants are taken and the living plant is left, or if it is necessary to take the whole plant, seeds of the plant are placed in the empty hole from which the plant was taken. Care is taken to only remove a few plants, flowers, or branches, so plenty remains to continue the supply. Wildcrafted plants are regulated by The Organic Food Production Act of 1991. Harvesters must designate the area they are harvesting and provide a three-year history of the area that shows no prohibited substances have been applied there. A plan for harvesting must show that the harvest will sustain the wild crop. No prohibited substances can be added by processors.
Molly's
Marvelous Herbal Salve (formerly known as "Heal-All" Salve)
NOW ORGANIC
Ingredients: 100% pure Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oill, Organic Comfrey Leaf, Organic Calendula Flower, Natural Bee's Wax, Organic Tea Tree oil, Lavender oil, Natural Vitamin E
"I
love this pure, gentle and soothing multi-purpose
topical ointment so much I put my name on it." - Molly
This
salve could be used for just about anything to do with the
skin:
burns, bruises, scars, dry or chapped skin & lips, cuts, scrapes,
wounds, gashes, insect bites, irritations, eczema, bed & pressure
sores, fungal infections,
"udder pox", "sore butt", etc. Can safely be used around eyes.
It has also been used to help with Candida as well as itching and pain in "personal
areas".
Though it is not intended for internal use, it is safe enough
for an animal to lick. I use it as an udder balm for nursing
mothers
and also on my (goats) kids heads the day after their disbudding
and when their scabs falls off. It may also aid to prevent infections
and reduce scarring. I first developed it for use on my human
family, and then started using it on my animals with wonderful
results. I always keep a jar in the barn and in the house.*
You
can read what other people have to say about my salve on our Testimonials
page.
Note: This salve can vary in color from very green to a yellowish
green. The recipe is always the same, and the salve will always
contain the same consistent qualities. The color variation
is due to the fact that it is made with natural and
handmade products which can vary in color when they are produced.
Recommendations:. Apply directly to the affected areas on
the skin. For external use only.
I originally developed this salve for my mother to use on her arthritic
knees. It could be used to attempt to aid
in the temporary relief of arthritis pain, sprains, strains, bumps
& bruises (also to diminish bruises), minor aches and pains of muscles & joints. It
could also be used on the knees of goats with arthritis and/or CAE
to attempt to help alleviate some of the pain and swelling.*
You
can read what other people have to say about this salve on our Testimonials
page.
This salve is very green due to it's high concentration of Comfrey and has a strong "Vick's Vapo rub" or "Tiger Balm" like scent due to the natural menthol, camphor and high quality essential oils.
Recommendations:
Massage onto the painful area(s) several times a day. For external
use only. Do not use in or around the eyes or other mucous membranes.
These Herb Infused oils are hand prepared, by me,
in small batches
to insure quality.
These are the base herbal oils
I prepare to use in making my salves (see above).

NOTE: The FDA does not allow the use of the word "REPELLENT" on
any natural insect deterrents.
This is a mixture of high quality therapeutic grade 100% pure essential oils: Citronella (W), Cedarwood (W), Eucalyptus (W), Geranium (especially known to deter ticks), Lavender, Lemon Grass (W), Peppermint and Tea Tree (O), plus a natural surfactant called Tween 20 (made from coconut oil and sorbitol (obtained from fruit); which keeps the oils dispersed in water for easy spray application.)
How
to use: Mix in a spray bottle. Add 2 - 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp.)
of mixture for every 100 ml of water or apple cider
vinegar. Shake well. Spray on the animal or human you
wish to keep flies and insects from biting.
For
external use only. Do not use undiluted. Do not
use on cats.
One
4 oz bottle will make 1 1/2 gallons of insect deterrent
spray.
