custom logo design

A logo is a harmonious union of type and image that represents you and/or your organization.  It let's people know who you are and what you do in a glance and is the key to a cohesive, professional looking, corporate image.  A well designed logo can do wonders for a business.  It creates a more professional image, regardless of company size, and increases consumer awareness of your products or services.  Each of our logos is specifically designed with the individual needs of the client in mind and is a one of a kind, hand crafted, work of art.

Please click here to view some of the logos we have designed.

Please note that Fias Co Farm is a vegetarian owned and operated company/farm. Our policy is not to offer our services to producers who specifically raise livestock for meat/slaughter purposes or companies/farms/clubs engaging in any type of hunting. Thank you for your understanding.

Starting your logo...

Please take a look at the logos in our e-Gallery; this will give you a good idea of our styles.  Keep in mind that a good logo should be kept simple.  When the "logo" starts to contain too much information (text or image) it becomes more of an illustration than a logo.  This causes it to be aesthetically busy and makes it harder to use on applications such as business cards and signs.

Information you need to supply us with before we can start on your logo:
  • The exact wording (please try to keep it simple)
  • What "elements" you wish us to include.
  • If you want something specific portrayed in your logo such as an object or shape, please let us know. If you want a specific object or critter you will ned to provide us with a photo(s).
  • If you have particular colors you'd like, please tell us what they are.  We generally design the logos in color, if you just want black and white, please let us know, this may well effect the design process.
  • It is very important to let us know what you intend to use your logo for, this too, may well effect the design.
  • Please browse through our e-Gallery and tell us three logos you really like and which ones you like the least.  We will not copy a logo we have already designed, but this information gives us an idea of which of our styles you would prefer and points us in the right direction toward designing your logo.

Price structure and revision policy...

Please see our Prices page for logo (and web site) pricing.

When you decide you'd like us to start work on your logo, we ask for a down payment of 50% (nonrefundable). Once we receive this we will develop a clear and concise verbal concept for your logo that we will pitch to you. If that concept appeals to you, we will begin "putting pen to paper" and develop a visual comprehensive (or "comp") of your logo for you to look at. Your comments, suggestions, and your criticism are always welcome. This is your logo, and we want you to be happy with it. We will make one, all inclusive, revision to your comp at no cost. Additional revisions will be charged at our hourly rate of $35 an hour. Most of the logos we have designed were completed with only one revision or none at all.

Please note:
Communication is very important to the design process.
Please take your time in looking over the "comps" we supply you, but also get back to us in a timely manner so we can stay in the "designing groove".

Finishing it up:

Once you approve the final "comp" we ask for the balance of the cost of your logo. When we receive your payment we will hone your logo to it's finished state. No further changes may be made to the logo at that point.

Once you have paid for your logo, it is owned and copyrighted by you. Fias Co Farm reserves the right to use your logo in our portfolio and in advertising for our graphic design services.

Your logo package includes:

  • Two "hard" (paper), camera ready, copies of your logo, one in color and one in black & white. (suitable for framing)
  • A CD containing the computer files of your logo in color and black & white:
    • 2 size files in BMP format at 300 dpi (dots per inch)
    • 2 size files in BMP format at 100 dpi
    • 1 GIF file at 72 dpi (ready for use on a web page)
    • EPS files- Encapsulated PostScript (used by many printers)
    • and also the files of the fonts used in your logo

Please note, especially if you are going to be taking this logo to a printer, that we work on a PC (not Mac) in "rastor" file format and not "vector" file format. We cannot supply you with vector files of your logo.

Illustrations-

When do I want an illustration instead of a logo?

The price structure and revision policy for an illustration is the same as for logos.

  • When type is not necessary (though, it can contain type).
  • When you want to make more of a personal statement as opposed to selling a product.
  • When you want more than three elements.
  • When you don't need to use the image on a sign or business card.

If you have any questions that aren't answered on this page please view our  FAQ page or  contact us directly.
